Our Mission
It is the mission of Animal Control to protect the health and safety of our citizens, and to protect animals and promote their humane treatment. We will strive to provide professional, courteous and efficient service to our county.
Services
- Provide housing and humane care for impounded animals
- Educate the public on responsible pet ownership
- Enforce City and County Leash Law, Ordinances, and State Laws
- Assist in finding lost pets
- Investigate, and Prosecute cruel or neglectful treatment.
- Quarantine vicious animals.
All complaints and incidents are to be reported to 478-445-5514. If there is an emergency, please dial 911.
You must leave a message with your contact information to receive a call back during business hours Monday- Friday between 8am and 5 pm. All voicemails received before 5 will be returned same business day.
Voicemails can not be left after 5 pm, on weekends, or county declared holidays. This is to ensure that emergency services are notified of bites to humans so that the on-call officer can be dispatched.
Baldwin Animal Control does not handle wildlife. For nuisance/injured wildlife please contact Department of Natural Resources. They can assist with removal or aid in locating a local licensed wildlife rehabber.
Baldwin Animal Control does not handle pest related issues. Please contact a local pest control agency.
